Available Grants

PTA Fine Arts (Visual, Performing, and Literary) (up to $XXX per classroom)

  • Fine ArtsSubmit a Request for PTA Fine Arts Grant to the PTA President box in the school office at any time, but no later than by Friday, February 1st, 2019  for approval.
    NOTE: Requests for the Fine Arts Grant must be approved by the PTA President before reserving or booking outside talent/professionals or purchasing items.
  • The PTA Treasurer will email updates on teacher balances each month in advance of our PTA Meetings.

Teacher & Specialist Classroom Funds
 MME PTA is pleased to offer up to $XXX to each Teacher and $XXX to each Specialist in the in 2018-2019 school year.

  • These funds can be used for any type of classroom supply that is desired to supplement teaching and are a reimbursable expense.  These Teacher & Specialist Classroom Funds can be used all-at-once or spread out throughout the year.Classroom Supplies  You may purchase supplies for your classroom, and submit a PTA Reimbursement Form with associated receipts to the PTA Treasurer box in the school office at any time throughout the year, but no later than Friday, May 31st, 2019.
  • If ordering through Office Max/Office Depot, please indicate on the form that you want it to come from PTA Funds, and submit a photocopy of the order form with a PTA Reimbursement Form to the PTA Treasurer box in the school office.
  • The PTA Treasurer will email updates on teacher balances each month in advance of our PTA Meetings.

Grade Level Field Trip Funds (dependent on grade level)

Field Trips*****

  • Each grade level team will need to collaborate on the best use of the funds for the benefit of all students in that particular grade.
  • Once your team has a plan (including activity, dates, transportation, and budget), it must be approved by Principal Jennifer McNeil and then submitted to the PTA President Christa Millstein at christa_millstein@yahoo.com no later than Friday, February 1st, 2019.

SEAL Materials (up to $2000 per classroom for start-up; up to $XXX per grade/year for sustainability)

  • SEALPTA has set aside a $2000 per classroom start-up fund (up to $26,000 over 3 years) for the purchase of new materials in support of the Sobrato Early Academic Language Model being rolled out at MME for Kinder through 3rd Grade between 2016 and 2019.
  • Starting in the 2018-2019 school year, PTA has also budgeted for a SEAL Sustainability Fund of $XXX for each grade level in order to replenish consumed materials for the learning units.
  • These funds are managed through the SEAL Coach Nora Brazil (nbrazil@djusd.net).

Teacher Professional DevelopmentProfessional Development (up to $XXXX for 2018-2019 school year)

  • PTA has set aside $XXXX for Professional Development aimed at teachers & staff in the 2018-2019 school year.
  • These funds are managed by the Principal, and all requests for professional development should go through Principal Jen McNeil (jmcneil@djusd.net).

Book Fair Credit (up to $50 per classroom for the Fall & Spring Book Fairs)

  • PTA provides a $25 credit at the Fall Book Fair and another $25 credit at the Spring Book Fair for each teacher to purchase books for their classroom libraries.

Davis School Arts Foundation (DSAF)
