What is the recyling program?
PTA’s Waste Management Education Program is led by parent volunteers who help at school lunchtime. We guide students to sort their waste, reduce food waste, and care for the environment. Our goal is to empower students to become environmentally conscious and responsible citizens.
Ok, so you recycle. What good is this doing for my child?
Are you curious how this program is making a difference for your child every day?

Why does sorting waste properly matter?
Sorting your waste in to recycle, trash, and compost is a life skill. It is something we will all do as adults. Being aware of our waste and where it is going helps us make good decisions about what we purchase, use, and how we dispose of it. Teaching our kids to be capable will set them up to be aware of our impacts on the environment and natural resources.
How can I help?
Want to learn more or help? We would love to have you come to observe, chat, or volunteer! We try to have a parent volunteer at the lunch tables from 11:40-12:40 pm every school day. Come and join us, or sign up for a shift! We have other needs for our committee besides just helping at lunch time.
