The purpose of the Climate Committee is to help enhance our school climate and create a more inclusive environment for all. Parents and community members are always welcome to participate — you just need to attend the meetings to get involved.
The Climate Committee is considered an MME Adjunct Duty (and additional paid duty at the school beyond teaching). Staff members typically support the committee as part of their adjunct responsibilities with the principal leading. For more details, please reach out to MME PTA or the MME Principal.
In the first meeting this year (2025) we talked about school lunch table seating and respectful safe behaviors while eating lunch. We also discussed hate speech, Monty Asks, and other ways to help improve the social climate of our school. Sound like topics you’re interested in? Come to a meeting!
