2025/2026 School Year Back to School Night is Wednesday, September 10th. If you child is TK-3rd grade, please come at 6pm. For children in 4th-6th grades, please come at 7 pm. Your meeting will be in your child’s classroom.
What is Back to School Night?
This means different things at different schools- for our school, it is a way for teachers and parents to meet. Teachers give a presentation on what will happen in their class for the year, what to expect, and how to help. This evening is a great time to meet both the teacher, and to meet other parents from your child’s classroom.
Do I have to come?
No, this is not a mandatory event. But the school really wants you to come! It is an important way to establish communication between families, and with the teachers. It will help you feel connected to your student’s classroom.
What do I Bring?
Nothing. It’s nice to have your phone (to take pictures of information) or some way to take notes, but it’s not required.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, you can bring your kids. If you can leave them at home, that is preferred. But if the only way to come is to bring them, by all means do bring them. It’s better to have all of your family than none of them.
What if I have more than one classroom to go to?
Our school tries to stagger the meeting times so that the younger grades (K-3) are meeting at a different time than the older grades (4th-6th). This is to help families be able to attend multiple class meetings. If this doesn’t work, you can split between you and a partner, family member, or friend to get the update from each room! Or ask another parent to take notes for you!
