What is a special Donation CAtegory?

Sometimes MME PTA makes special categories for donations. This usually happens when the money donated will be used for just one part of the PTA budget, or for a special event. 

What Special Categories are there?

Right now, special categories include:

Teacher Appreciation- zip up MME sweaters as a winter gift. All money donated here goes toward buying staff MME sweaters.

Conference Week Food- a special fund to help by easy and healthy snacks or lunches for our teachers during fall and spring conference weeks. With conferences, our teachers often struggle to get in some food and hydrate properly this week. Any money donated here will be saved for this purpose.

6th Grade Walker Creek– Money that goes into this fund will be given from MME PTA to the district (DJUSD). The district helps cover our 6th grade outdoor education trip (along with MME PTA and parent donations). Any money donated here will help fund the outdoor education trip. 

How do I find Special categories?

Usually this categories will have their own link on our square site. We use square as a way to get donations online, rather than requiring check or cash (which are both possible as well if you reach out to us and let us know).

Do I need to donate to a special category?

Only if you want to be sure your donation funds something specific. If you just want to help make sure MME PTA can fund all the items in our budget, then donate through the general donation link, or however suits you best!
